Thor gains RV order

Jackson Center-based Thor Industries said Tuesday it has secured a contract from Cruise America Inc. to supply 350 Class C recreation vehicles.

The deal, the second major one for Thor in the past week, is valued at $14 million.

Cruise America, headquartered in Mesa, Ariz., is the nation's largest RV rental agency.

Thor's Four Winds division in Elkhart, Ind., is handling production, with shipments to begin in May.

Last week, Thor said it had landed a $200 million contract to supply buses for the state of California's transit system.
