Fifth Third unit inks deal

Midwest Payment Systems, the electronic processing subsidiary of Fifth Third Bancorp, said Tuesday it has signed an agreement to provide funds transfer services for a Tennessee bank.
First South Bank is based in Bolivar, Tenn., and holds $215 million in assets and seven ATMs.
Midwest Payment processes more than 6.6 billion commercial transactions per year and drives more than 11,000 ATMs.
Cincinnati-based Fifth Third is the Dayton region's largest financial institution, with 87 branches and more than $3.4 billion in local deposits.
