EDS acquires Swissair unit

Swissair said today it has signed an agreement to sell its information technology unit Atraxis to EDS for an undisclosed price.

In a statement, Swissair unit Atraxis said it had agreed not to make public terms of the deal, which covers the entire operating business of the unit.

The final agreement is subject to due diligence and regulatory approval.

Plano, Texas-based EDS employs 1,200 people in the Greater Dayton area.
