Fifth Third unit signs deal

Midwest Payment Systems has signed an agreement to provide electronic funds transfer services to Frederick (Md.) County Bank.

Financial terms were not released.

The financial institution opened this month and has two ATMs and two full-service branches in Maryland.

Midwest Payment is the data processing subsidiary of Fifth Third Bank, which operates 66 branches locally and leads the Greater Dayton area in deposit market share.
