Choosing DP&L requires no action on your part. Choosing an alternative supplier requires signing a contract with a new supplier. Regardless of your choice, DP&L will continue to deliver electricity to you over wires owned and serviced by DP&L. As a part of this deregulation process, DP&L is required to provide customers' names, addresses and usage information on a list of eligible customers that is made available to other electric service providers. You can remove your name from this list in one of three ways: - Here on-line by clicking Releasing Your Personal Account Information: The Choice is Yours. - Call DP&L at 331-3900 (in the Dayton area) or 1-800-433-8500. - Write DP&L's Customer Resource Center, 1900 Dryden Rd., Dayton, OH 45439. IMPORTANT DEREGULATION FACTS: - Beginning January 1, 2001, the electric generation portion of the business became deregulated. - There will be a change in your service only if you want a change. - You can choose to stay with DP&L, which requires no action on your part. - You can also choose an alternative generation provider, much like you can choose a long-distance provider. - Regardless of your choice, DP&L will continue to deliver electricity over wires owned and serviced by DP&L.
